Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to Questions About Glovebox Maintenance

The most common questions we are asked time and time again about maintenance and repairs.

How often should a glove box be serviced?

Usually once a year. For applications involving heavy use or particularly sensitive operations, we recommend a maintenance schedule every six months. This ensures that wear parts are replaced in a timely manner and that reliable operation is maintained.

What is included in a glove box maintenance service?

Typically, this includes changing gloves and filters, replacing seals on airlocks and doors, maintaining or replacing valves, leak detection and leak testing, cleaning the system, and a final functional test.

Do you service glove boxes from all manufacturers?

Yes. We have experience with a wide variety of glovebox systems and work directly with manufacturers to source genuine replacement parts—which allows us to provide support for your systems regardless of the manufacturer.

Can O₂ and H₂O sensors be calibrated?

Yes. Calibration is an important part of maintenance. The sensors are calibrated properly to ensure that your system continues to provide accurate measurements.

When should the gloves be replaced?

At the latest when visible damage, material fatigue, or leaks occur, or after exposure to strong chemicals. Regular replacement ensures a tight seal and safety.

Do you use genuine parts?

We use original manufacturer parts or technically equivalent, tested components—to ensure the long-term functionality and safety of your system.

Do you offer maintenance contracts?

Yes—with KeT Care 360, we offer a multi-vendor maintenance contract that includes a dedicated contact person, maintenance supplies, and emergency service. Regular inspections help identify problems early and prevent costly downtime.

Are you conducting a leak detection test?

Yes, leak detection is an integral part of our service. We check your system for complete gas tightness and unwanted air ingress.
